The Government of Pakistan’s Marine Academy is now accepting applications for the 63rd Batch of Nautical (Deck) & Marine Engineering Cadets for the session 2025-2026. This is a prestigious opportunity for young, unmarried male citizens of Pakistan who aspire to a career in the Merchant Navy.

Eligibility Conditions:

  • Marital Status: Unmarried male citizens of Pakistan.
  • Age Requirement: Must not exceed 20 years of age by 31st December 2024 (FATA/Gilgit Baltistan/AJK/Balochistan candidates are allowed a one-year age relaxation, up to 21 years).
  • Academic Qualification:
  • Must have passed F.Sc. Pre-Engineering or A-Level with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, scoring at least 55%.
  • Candidates with F.Sc./A-Level Part-I results must have 60% marks and provide a Hope Certificate.
  • If a candidate scores below 55% in F.Sc. after the Hope Certificate, they will be disqualified.

How to Register:

  • Download the prospectus and application form from the PMA website: www.marineacademy.edu.pk.
  • Submit the application form through Courier Services with a pay order/bank draft of Rs. 3,500/- in favor of Pakistan Marine Academy, Karachi, payable at NBP, PMA Branch (Code-0239).
  • Applications must include the Hope Certificate (if applicable), attested copies of required documents, and submit via Courier Service to avoid delays.
  • An Entry Test Fee of Rs. 3,500/- is refundable if a candidate is declared unfit on medical grounds or does not meet PMA standards.

Selection Procedure:

  • Entrance Test will be conducted in various cities, including Abbottabad, Gwadar, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Sukkur, and more.
  • Medical tests and interviews will follow the entry test.
  • Selection is based on merit, with the final decision pending F.Sc. Marks, Entry Test, PET, and Interview performance.

Education/Training & Certificates Awarded:

  • 02 years of residential training at PMA.
  • Upon completion, cadets receive an Associate Degree in Nautical Science and Marine Engineering by NED University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi.
  • IMO-recognized Pre-Sea Mandatory Courses.

Scholarships:

  • 33 need-based scholarships are sponsored by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs.
  • Scholarships distributed across Balochistan (15), KPK (06), Punjab (06), Sindh (06).

Important Dates:

  • Last Date of Form Submission: 6th September 2024.
  • Test Date: 22nd September 2024 (Sunday).
